Glad I’m Not Married Yet

If I was my mother, at this age I would have been married two years and I would have a baby.

If I was my dad, at this age I would have been married about a year already.

If I was my best friend, at this age I would have been married five years.

If I was my brother, at this age I would have been married almost three years.

If I was my sister, at this age I would have been married almost two years.

If I was my other best friend, I would be newly engaged and planning my wedding.

But I’m not them.

I am me.

And I’m glad I’m not married yet.

Very glad.

It’s good to be me.

I think I’ll go to a movie tonight.  By myself, as I’ve a couple times on Sundays and am fond of doing.  Because I’m happily single.  And I can.

It reminds me of when I was in Paris, traversing the city all by myself.

On my own adventure.
